New swim suit

Today was a typical Kansas summer day, hot and windy. So I decided to take the kids to the pool this afternoon. I also discovered that I definitely need to start shopping for a new swim suit. My belly is getting bigger and my suit is not so flattering, although, I think at this point there is not a whole lot that is. I don't have the typical cute round tummy of a pregnant woman. Instead, it really looks like I've been downing the six packs of beer a little too much. I tried on my cute little board shorts over my swimsuit, but when I sat down in them they cut off my blood flow, so, sadly, I had to resort to wearing Kaleb's swim trunks over my bathing suit. Not a pretty sight!!!! I got a few funny looks too. I hope it was just because of the knee length swim trunks I was wearing and not anything else :) I still figure that it looks better to cover up the not so beautiful parts of my body than to let it all hang out. We did have fun at the pool, though, and luckily my kids are either too young to notice their awkwardly dressed mother or too smart to comment!
