Today was Abe's 9th birthday!!! His last single digit birthday! Wow! We had a pretty good day today. He planned out the menu for what he wanted to eat for the day. For breakfast he chose donuts. He decided he wanted to go to their playground program that the rec puts on Mon-Thursday. (Most of the time I give Abe and Cy a choice on whether or not to go. It's a free program and they serve lunch so most of the time they love to go.) Today they got a special treat because a fire engine came to the playground and got everyone wet!! They both LOVED that part. When they got home they both chilled for a couple of hours watching TV while Lucy took her nap, and then they did their chores for the day. Kaleb was able to cut out of work a little early, which was nice, because he's put in a lot of time the last week! Then for dinner Abe said he wanted to make their own pizzas so that's what we did. Alan came over for dinner and cake. For Abe's presents he got a new t-shirt, some money, and the first three PS2 games of Harry Potter. He had specifically asked for the Harry Potter games so he was really excited!!! Then we let him stay up until 9 tonight. I hope he had a good birthday, because he's a great kid!!!!
Abe wanted to decorate the cake by himself so I let him do most of it. He chose sour Skittles and Bottle Caps to put on it. YUMMY!!!!! I did the lettering. He did a great job, though!!!!! I know he enjoyed eating a fair amount of the decorations before they made it to the cake :)
