Laundry woes
Well we have lost a beloved friend and the hardest worker in our family. Our dryer has died. It's been squeaking loudly for the past six months and we were hoping it would just stop squeaking, but, alas, yesterday it progressed from a loud squeaking into a very disturbing thumping sound. I think the barrell was actually coming off. I thought it was going to start a fire so I put it out of it's misery by just shutting it off. Yesterday afternoon and evening I spent researching the best brands and prices. We decided to go ahead and get a new washer too, since our current one is kept going with a complicated tape job of duct tape. A local furniture store cut us a deal I just couldn't pass up on a Frigidaire Affinity set. It still cost waaaay more than I cared to spend but I just keep telling myself it's an investment. Hopefully it will at least last the next seven or eight years! (That's how long our last set lasted) The only problem is that they can't deliver it until THURSDAY!!!! This morning the boys had to wear dirty jeans (they did pass the smell test!), I didn't tell them they were dirty, AND I have a MOUNTAIN (no exaggeration) of dirty laundry. They said there's a slight possibility they can deliver this afternoon, so I praying for this miracle to occur, otherwise a trip to the laundromat is inevitable!! We will see!!!
