Quiet Saturday

Today Abe went down to Liberal to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind regional competition. His team has been practicing for the last few months and I was SOOO excited to go see him, but sicknesses have finally caught up with us. We went almost two months without having any sick kids but I knew it would happen eventually. Lucy, Abe, and Kate all have had varying degrees of the cough/cold going around. Kate's getting over it and it didn't seem to bother her too much. Poor Abe got it a little worse and has been hacking and just not feeling like his normal self. Lucy, though, seems to have gotten the worst of it. This morning she was coughing a phlegmy cough, had a low fever, and you could tell she just wasn't feeling well. So I made the decision to send Kaleb with Abe and Cy to the competition without us girls. I felt like a horrible parent to Abe, but at the same time didn't want to be dragging around Lucy all day when she really didn't feel good. I have to admit, it's kind of nice to have a quiet house today. I'm attacking laundry AGAIN and hoping to clean the bathrooms AND get a couple of craft projects started and done. Lofty plans, I know!! Even though for the last hour and a half while Lucy and Kate have been sleeping, I've only just surfed the internet. I don't know where the time goes! (She says sheepishly)
