Every day I am reminded of how unique and creative each of my children are. Many days this creativity comes from my middle child, Cy. Just today he was demonstrating his "Lord of the Dance" moves on our trampoline in the back yard. He must have seen Irish dancing recently because he had his hands behind his back and was kicking his feet out while bouncing, in a fairly realistic impression of Michael Flatley (is that the "Lord of the Dance" guy's name?). Totally hilarious!!! Didn't get the video camera out in time though. Today Cy also got the idea that he, Abe, and a friend of his from school were going to meet at the YMCA down the road tonight at 7 and ride their bikes to Antartica so they could see polar bears. He begged me to let him go. He said he could survive by eating just about anything (no more Survivorman for him!!!)
A few weeks ago he and his friend from school decided that they were going to meet up after dark and ride motorcycles to Hollywood, CA, where they were going to live for a while. He's so serious about his adventures that sometimes it scares me that one day he'll actually try it. It won't be so bad when he's in his twenties, but at 7 years old I think it's a little too early to let him loose into the world. Luckily he has siblings who would totally rat him out if he even attempted it.
