Two Birthdays in Two Days for Two of my favorite peeps

Strike a pose!! Work it girl!! You look FIERCE!!! (maybe I should lay off the America's Next Top Model?)

This is Jessie with her too-cute son, Lucas

On Monday my little sister celebrated her 27th birthday. She said she spent it on her husband's boat fishing where they live in Florida. Lucky, lucky girl. She is a beautiful person with a kind heart. She also happens to be VERY smart (like her sister) and a wonderful mother. I love you Jess!!! (Isn't she pretty?!!)

Now for my second birthday(only second in order of chronology not in importance!), which occurred on Tuesday (yesterday). It was my honey's birthday!!! Kaleb turned a very youthful 36!! The kids came into our room in the morning and told him to stay in bed so they could make breakfast in bed for him. (We have the best kids!)They made a card for him and I helped them warm some cinnamon rolls from the freezer and a banana. The people in his department took him out to eat for lunch at IHOP and got him an ice cream cake. Then when he got home we fed the kids hot dogs and cut his chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and chocolate buttercream icing (that I made from scratch. Yes I know. Call me Martha!) Then my sister-in-law Heather came over to watch the kids and we went out to eat at his favorite restaurant, which happens to be this rinky dink off-the-beaten path Thai restaurant (they serve THE BEST FOOD though!! and the inside is kept in fairly good condition). It was pretty stinkin' good food!! Then we went and bought him some new shoes and did a little shopping. He said it was a pretty good birthday.

Now for the mushy part. Quit reading now if you don't go for the sappy stuff. I would just like to say that Kaleb is one of the happiest, most kind and gentle people I know. He is always in a good mood in the morning AND when he comes home from work. He VERY seldom is in a bad mood. He is a wonderful husband, great father, and just an all around really good man (which is hard to find these days). In fact I think he's one of the few manly men left in this world. However, one of the things I love most about him, is the twinkle in his eyes when he's flashing me a big contagious grin. I love ya' Kaleb!!!!!
This is an OOOOLLLLLDDDD family picture. Kaleb's the one in red. He's the second youngest of six kids.
Here he is on the far right, in front. Pretty groovy, huh?!!

In the photo of Kaleb's family-I can see how much Lucy and Abe look like their dad when he was younger.

Very sweet post about your hubby. Whenever anyone talks about your hubby (Stake Meetings) it is always mentioned about how positive he is and happy he is. Fun to see pictures of his family. And nice to get a visual of his dad after all the stories we've heard about him. Fun!
