Her first year!!!

My beautiful baby girl!!! Really, do they get any cuter?!!!

Here she is thoroughly enjoying her cake. She really went to town on it. We thought she ate every single morsel until we lifted her out of her seat and discovered various chunks of cake and icing stuck to her legs (and even some on her back. Don't know how that happened?)

Today was my baby's first birthday! (And I am about to use all the standard cliches because really there are no better words.) Wow it is truly amazing at how fast time flies. She has grown so much!! It has been so fun to see her personality come out as she has gotten older. I can definitely say that she is a social girl. Her favorite phrase is "Hi dad" which comes out more like "Hi, da" and she says it to just about everyone. She also has the funniest husky voice which sounds a little peculiar coming out of a baby girl, but she's cute enough she can pull it off!! Kate is a bundle of energy. She loves to dance and explore. She hasn't yet discovered walking but I have a feeling it's just around the corner. I feel extremely blessed to be her mom. Happy Birthday Kate!!!!
