Okay the benefit of hormones are that one day things can be miserable and five minutes later the world is a beautiful place. Fortunately for me things definitely improved this weekend. Saturday my sister-in-law, Heather, and my friend, Heidi, threw me a baby shower. My mom even came in from Colorado Springs. It was a great party and did a lot to lift my spirits. I also got the most adorable outfits and a lot of diapers and wipes. All of which will be needed. When I had Lucy a lot of the clothes I got were second-hand so by the time she had outgrown them they were pretty much done for. And you can never have enough diapers and wipes!!!! I also got a stylish new diaper bag and a full crib set. I've never had a crib set before!
My mom stayed until Sunday evening. It was really nice just hanging out with family the rest of the weekend. I have the best family, both extended and immediate. At church yesterday I just became aware of how blessed I am. Our Relief Society president gave a really good lesson on remembering how much the Lord has blessed us and how we need to strive just a little harder to be better people. I felt like she was talking directly to me. I often think of things I could do to go the extra mile, to do and be better, but seldom do I actually do it. Maybe I need to stop second-guessing and start doing more.
