Well, after I finished blogging yesterday I finally got down to preparing my talk. I'd forgotten that I write better when I'm at the computer. Duh! Now that it's over I wish that I had sat down and prepared it much earlier so I had time to revise because now I'm thinking of all the things that I could have said that would have gone much better. Oh well, hopefully I've learned from my mistakes. We were also, embarassingly, late! That's pretty bad since in my talk I talked about reverence at church! We would have been on time but about five minutes before I was ready to walk out the door I told the kids to get a snack and a drink. I hear this splash noise and I KNOW what has just happened. Cy decided he was going to pour himself some Kool-Aid and he totally missed the cup and got it all over his white shirt and pants. Luckily for me he had a clean white shirt and another pair of Sunday pants, I just had to iron them, therefore making me a couple of minutes late (they were just starting the opening hymn). Whoops!
My husband, who's the bishop of our ward just got home and I told him that I was thinking of all the things I could have said in my talk. He asked if I was asking to speak again. I quickly and emphatically told him NO! I really need to learn when to be quiet.

Your talk was very smooth today. It was really really good...I don't know what you are talking about...you ARE a good speaker and certainly deserve to speak again...soon...ha ha!
