Summer Countdown (my whiner post)
Today I think was the turning point of my summer and not in a good way. Up until this week I was really enjoying having the boys home from school and enjoying spending time with all my kids. This morning I scheduled a chiropracter appointment and took them all. Yeah, you can see where this is headed. I thought they would be decent. Notice I didn't say good, I'm not that delusional. The office I go to usually only takes about fifteen minutes and I'm done. I failed to account for the fact that Kate was extraordinarily cranky due to her hunger and it was time for her morning nap. So since Kate was cranky the boys alternately took turns trying to "cheer her up" by trying to pick her up and carry her around. While one was carrying her around (just barely, she's getting to be too big for them to hold very long) the other was "playing" with Lucy (but in all truthfulness it was out and out teasing). Suffice it to say the chiropracter which is usually a relaxing place for me, this morning it was not. It also may have steered me into taking steps to permanently prevent myself from having more kids. I suppose, in theory, these moments make me appreciate the good, sweet ones that much more. In theory.

You know you can drop them off her anytime!
You wouldn't last more than an hour. But if you really think so we'll be there in eight and a half hours.
