Martha Stewart, get thee behind me

I am convinced Martha Stewart is really the devil. It seems like every time I turn on the TV she is on there with her ubiquitous "cupcake week". Darn those repeats. I know they originally aired a few months ago, and they were obviously big hits because those are the shows that keep airing. Last week when I miraculously dropped a pound I became more determined to once and for all get to my goal weight, which would require dropping two and a half more pounds. That's right, just a measly two and a half more pounds. The month of June (I like to remember it as the month of cake and bread) was very unkind to me because I slowly gained two pounds over the month and then luckily July hit and I lost it. So when I found out that I'm only two and a half pounds away I self-imposed a two week (or too weak, as I am to resist baked goods. Was that a Freudian slip?) moratorium on my baking. No cupcakes, no cake, no bread, no cinnamon rolls, no muffins, none of the delicious baked goods that reward my time in the kitchen with wonderful flour, sugar, and butter creations. The only exception I made was Abe's birthday cake and the cinnamon rolls he requested for his birthday breakfast. I showed some restraint when I only made a regular batch of cinnamon rolls, instead of doubling it like I usually do. The only problem with the moratorium is that every time I turn on the TV there is cake. Last night I watched one of my favorite shows, Cake Boss, and when he started slathering on thick beautiful layers of buttercream icing I really wanted to head for the kitchen. But for now I WILL NOT BAKE!!! I have to keep telling myself that "I will not bake, I will not bake, I will not bake, I will not bake...." Pray for me

Oh I am with you. Buttercream frosting, cupcakes, wedding cake, oh my! I wish that this pregnancy craving would go away. I never had this problem before.

You could always just bake them and drop them off her, I get my baking in and then send them to the station with Alan.
