What we did in Texas

The day after Christmas we left to go to my dad's house north of Dallas. It took us a good 11 hours to get there, with a few pit stops included. We arrived late Friday night and went directly to bed. There's something about traveling that just wears you out. On Saturday, this is what we did.

My stepmom, Suzan made us some awesome whole wheat pancakes for breakfast. Yummy! This is my dad with Kate on his lap.

This is Suzan with Cy bones.

After breakfast we had another little Christmas. My dad had saved all his presents for us until we came so we opened them all up. I knew that my dad and Suzan were getting us a Wii as a family present and wasn't expecting anything else. Abe opened up his present which was a Wii controller and Suzan said, "Oh that's for your Wii, you do have a wii, right?" Abe said no, but he was still pretty happy to get the controller. (He's a funny kid) Next Cy opened up his present and it was a Wii!!!! They were so excited!! So I thought, Oh that is soooo cool, we have a wii!!!! Next I open my present, even though I wasn't really expecting anything, and when I open it it's a ..... Wii Fit!!!!!!Wow, I was speechless for a few minutes. SOOOOO COOOOOL!!!!!!! Thank you dad and Suzan!!!!!!!!!

We spent the rest of the day playing Wii. Then later that afternoon my dad let the boys practice shooting with a couple of bb guns. I am happy to say that they didn't shoot their eyes out. (I did stay inside though)

For dinner Lucy helped Grandma Suzan make some lemon chicken. She was so happy to help!

After dinner we made smores outside in their outdoor fireplace. They just moved into their house two months ago and it was really cool to come and check it out. The outside fireplace was one of my favorite features.

Then we put the kids to bed and the adults played Wii. Oh yeah!!!!

That's so awesome that you guys got a Wii... they are so fun and good for family time. Let me know what you think of the Wii fit, I really want to get one so I can get some baby weight off.

We love our Wii...it was Cajun Man's Mid-Life Crisis present. Keep us updated on Wii Fit, though. I want to see if it makes exercise fun.
